Calligraphies

The calligraphy series offers us their last movement before becoming still or settling until the next tide. Ephemeral traces of a marine breath; what will be the trace of my breath? I see in each one a representation of their own energy and perhaps a last gesture; one is bouncing, another is frightening, another shivers while another surprises us. They all speak to me.

These organic-looking moldings evoke landscapes, cartographies, nervous systems, animal and reptilian skins; constant effervescence, transformation inherent to the living. They are flying carpets with hesitant patterns. In the sand is the trace of the past. In the muddy earth is the trace of the future.
